Permits

Piatt County Highway Department issues permits for Overweight/Over‐Dimension Vehicles and Right of Way Entry Permits on Piatt County Highways. There is a fee associated with the Overweight/Over‐Dimension Vehicle Permits and in some cases a bond maybe required for the Right of Way Entry Permit.

Or emailed to permits@piattcounty.org. For information regarding permits on Township Roads in Piatt County contact the Road Commissioner for each Township Road District.

PIATT COUNTY PERMITS

OVER WEIGHT/OVER‐DIMENSION PERMIT APPLICATION

• There is a non‐refundable fee of $50.00 for this permit.
• Any load in excess of 80,000 pounds crossing a county structure shall require a structural analysis to be performed by a licensed Illinois Structural Engineer. The cost of this analysis shall be paid for by the Petitioner and shall be in addition to the $50.00 fee.
• Requires at least 48 hour notice for approval
